COFFeE

GROUNDS

Have you ever thought about what happens to the coffee ground dregs from your daily Cappuccino? This is the simple idea behind this project - the global coffee consumption is growing and the coffee ground dregs are a material extensively wasted, without any pre-defined functionality.

I mixed the coffee grounds with eco epoxy resin. The material I got is a resistant with a really nice finish material. I casted 10 kilograms of coffee waste with the resin in a fabric mould. The mould was sewed base on the penrose patterns and in each vector a resinstant were place giving a curvature to the final piece.
